Cindy Patterson

Cindy Roark Patterson, age 63, passed away August 13, 2024 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson, NC. Cindy was born March 27, 1961 to the late Coy Edward Roark and Ellen Geraldene Reynolds Roark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Shelton Patterson, Jr.; sister-in-law, Regina Roark and brother-in-law, Rick Tugman.

Throughout the years, Cindy was a retired nurse, a talented musician and most importantly a daughter of God. She enjoyed fishing and was a great craftsman who loved tinkering with things and just working with her hands. She was a member of Highland Bible Tabernable of West Jefferson, NC.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Sarah Patterson Smithey and husband Richard Joseph Smithey; god-son, Christian Parker; sisters, Kathy Miller and husband David, Lisa Adams and husband Danny, Joyce Tugman; brother, Dennis Roark and many loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Lindsay McGrady and Danny Adams officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow the service at Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Miller, B.J. Williams, Daniel Adams, Nate Adams, Seth McGrady, and Dillon Robson. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Tugman and Marty Roark.
