Christopher McGuire

Christopher Joel McGuire, age 48, passed away on September 2, 2021 in Murfreesboro, TN. Christopher was born on December 19, 1972 to Raymond McGuire and Linda Bunton McGuire in Boone, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond McGuire and brother, Daniel McGuire. Chris retired after 20 years of submarine service in the United States Navy. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, fishing, and bicycling. Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Linda McGuire of Mountain City; daughter, Laurana McGuire (Ryan) of Cookeville; sister, Dawn Greer of Murfreesboro; mother of his daughter, Dixie Schall. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Sugar Grove Baptist Church with Pastors Don Winters and David Hankal officiating. The graveside service will follow at the Sugar Grove Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Johnson County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Johnson County Honor Guard, c/o Patty Young, 1039 Big Dry Run Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
