Christopher Aaron Ellis, age 26, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Lee Ellis, aunt and uncle Katie and Ricky Garland, and papaw Elbert Cable. Chris loved sports; he was a star football player who also played baseball and basketball at Hampton High School. He loved making new friends and always lived life to the fullest. Chris was a believer in Jesus Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church in Butler, TN. Chris is survived by his loving family: Dale Dominy, Tiffany Ellis and Scotty Campbell, Lisa and Jerry Dugger, Amanda Fagan and Eric, Brandy Curtis and Brian, “Nanny” JoAnn Cable, Richard and Rita Dugger, Robert and Barbara Reece, James Cable, and several other loving extended family members, special friend Tamela Dawn Godsey, and a multitude of close friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Jones officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at the Crosswhite Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tristan Robinson, Ty Robinson, Michael Odom, Zachary Odom, Eric Fagan, and Brian Curtis. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Guy and his former teammates at Hampton High School.
