Charles "Chuck" L. Eckstadt

Charles L. " Chuck" Eckstadt, age 80 of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at his home. He was born September 24, 1945 to the late Charles Eckstadt and Margaret McCasty Eckstadt.

Chuck was a tremendous supporter of the local arts and took great pleasure in discovering and enjoying local music. He loved hiking and was a former member of the trails association, helping delvop new hiking trails. Chuck also was a devoted advocate for animals.

Those left to cherish his memories include his daughter, Wendy James and husband Claiborne; grandaughters, Grace James and Meredith James; sister, Gail Belfiore; brother, Tom Eckstadt; and four nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations in Chuck's memory can be made to a local Humane Society or Rescue Dog in Mountain City, TN.

The family of Charles L. Eckstadt has entrusted his care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
