Cathy H Wagner

Cathy H. Wagner, age 66, of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, July 05, 2018.  She was surrounded by her loving family at her residence. 

She was born on March 26, 1952 to Helen Pyron Hyder and the late J.H. Hyder. In addition to her father, Cathy was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Hyder. 

Cathy was an outdoors person and loved to hunt and fish.  She was a former employee of NECC, Texas Instruments and Siemens.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 38 years, Gary Wagner, mother, Helen Hyder of Erwin, TN, step-son, Trafton Wagner and his wife Kristy and their children, Hunter and Chloe Wagner, brother, Tommy Hyder and wife Sherry of Unicoi, TN, very special friends, Aunt Kate Potter, John Blackmore, Sharon Lunceford and her son, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Winters officiating.  Graveside service and interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Cathy’s memory may be made to the Johnson County Cancer Support Group, c/o Flo Bellamy, 3510 Hwy 421 N, Mountain City, TN 37683.

The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to everyone at Sugar Grove Baptist Church, neighbors and local friends for all of their kindness, love and acts of generosity shown to Cathy and her family during her illness.
