Brian Brown

Brian Lynn Brown, age 45 of Creston, passed away July 30, 2023. Brian was born September 9, 1977 in Boone, NC to Margie Brown and the late Jimmy Ronald Brown. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Terri “Weezy” Brown; aunts, Edna Henson, Anna May Miller, Betty Jo Lawrence, and uncles, Bill Church, Charlie Church.

Brian was a very kind-hearted man who was very good to people. He enjoyed gardening and canning and enjoyed working while he was able. He adored his nephew, Brayden, and loved playing and spending time with him. Brian loved the Lord and liked to read the Bible.

Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Margie Brown; grandmother, Thelma Brown; brother, Jamie Brown; nephew, Brayden Potter; aunts, Sue Price, Kathy Snyder, Marty Jones, Janie Fox, Wanda Shelton; uncles, Dale Brown, Marion Church, Dave Church and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Anthony Roark officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Brown Cemetery in Todd, NC. Pallbearers will be Thomas Brown, Ronnie Brown, Tim Greer, Mark Greer, Dennis Mains, James Canter, Jeremy “Wormy” Tester, and Jack Shelton. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
