Brenda Norris

Brenda Kay Norris, age 71, passed away January 10, 2024 at her home. Brenda was born October 19, 1952 to the late George and Evelyn Byrd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Hilda Nance.

Brenda was a caring and compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life. She never complained and enjoyed taking care of others and you could always count on her to remember everyone’s birthday. She was always there when anyone needed her and she enjoyed crafting and music.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 52 years, Fred Norris; daughter, Bobbie Mays and husband Russell; son, Joey Norris and wife Alisha; sisters, Joann Walker and husband Charles, Georgia Breedlove; brother, Dennis Byrd and wife Melissa; brother-in-law, Don Nance; grandchildren, Nathan Lunceford and wife Catie, Tyler Mays and Catlin, Dominic Kelley, Eli Norris; great grandchildren, Caidance Lunceford, Cree Lunceford, Chloe Lunceford, Isabella Mays, and one on the way; niece that was more like a daughter, Kendra Franklin and husband Adam and son, Colby; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. with Minister C.D. “Bud” Gentry officiating. Honorary pallbearers are friends and family.

At other times, friends and family may visit the home of her daughter, Bobbie Mays, 326 Moretz Rd., Mountain City, TN 37683.
