Brenda Barry

Brenda Gail Barry, age 67, passed away March 8, 2024 at her home. She was born April 16, 1956 to the late Hardin Goodman and Ida Hodge Ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rick Goodman and Chuck Goodman.

Brenda was a loving wife and mother, but above all she loved the Lord. She was a talented singer and enjoyed going from church to church singing with the The Masters Touch Quartet. She also liked flowers, going to the beach, collecting strange rocks, and making jewelry. Brenda loved her church and church family at First Freewill Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her loving husband of 50 years, Larry Barry; daughter, Tracy Worley and husband Shannon; son, Anthony Barry and wife Stephanie; sisters, Linda Oliver, Martha Farrell; brother, Ronnie Goodman; grandchildren, Jacob Worley (Skye), Lucas Worley (Emily), Andrew Clay Worley, Christopher Wilson; special nieces, Christina Chandler, Shannon Letterman; adopted mom of the home, Bulis Adamson; her dog, Sam and cat, Mojo; several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024 at First Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastors Greg Poe and Frank Woods officiating. Special music will be provided by Josh and Stephanie Jones. The graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Phillippi Cemetery.
