Bonnie Ruth Hawkins

Bonnie Ruth Hawkins, age 84, of Laurel Bloomery, TN, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026 at her home. Bonnie was born August 8, 1941 to the late Lynn Forrester and Bess Caudle Forrester. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Hawkins; son, David Lee Hawkins; sister, Diane (Bunny) Eastridge; and brother, Keith Forrester.

Bonnie sang with the Gloryland Singers. She was a member of St. John’s Methodist Church, now known as Bethel Community Church. Bonnie enjoyed the outdoors and working outside. She worked many years at Iron Mountain Stoneware.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Pamela Jean Powell; sister, Betty Thomas; daughter-in-law, Donna Hawkins; grandchild, Matthew Pennington; nephew, Mike Eastridge.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Acre Field Cemetery with Pastor Tom Prater officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
