Bobby Blevins

Bobby Jack Blevins, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at his home. He was born on August 18, 1933 to the late Dennis and Ethel Blevins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Joan Blevins, and grandson, Ronnie Blevins. Bobby really loved his family, enjoyed the outdoors and farming, and was a great story teller. He also liked going on shopping adventures and out to lunch. He made friends wherever he went and treated everybody like they were somebody. Those left to cherish his memories include his sons, Ronnie J. Blevins (Joyce), George Blevins, and Douglas Blevins (Diane); grandchildren, January Blevins, Tabitha Seal, Jessica Blevins, Robin Blevins-Mandel, Kenneth Blevins, Michael Blevins, and Christopher Blevins; great-grandchildren, Valerie Parker, Andrew Seal, Nora Parker, Lainey Seal, Jonathan Blevins, Gracie Fleet, Allison Fleet, Clara Williams, Logan Touchstone, and Wyatt Mandel; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Phil Blevins officiating. The graveside service and burial will take place following the funeral service at the Blevins Cemetery in Shady Valley. Military honors will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Perry Blevins, Keenan Blevins, Mark Gentry, Meghetti Greer, Austin Osborne, and Eric Reeves. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Seal and William Priest.
