Billy Ray Markham

Billy Ray Markham, age 51, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.  He was born on January 27, 1967 to Ettie Louise Dugger Markham and the late Dennis Culver Markham. 

As soon as Billy could drive he knew that he wanted to drive a truck.  Billy worked at American Central Transport as a truck driver for many years.  He also enjoyed making model cars and trucks.

Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Louise Markham; daughter, Kristin Fridel; sisters; Amanda Potter and Drucilla Buckley; nieces, Renee Hughes, Sarrah McFalls, Rachel Atlasy, Angel Mitchell and nephew, Daniel Potter.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Jones officiating.  Graveside service and interment will follow at the Bakers Gap Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Daniel Potter, Derrick Hughes, Adam Atlasy, Sterling Alexander Angell, Christopher McFalls, Lesley Buckley. Honorary pallbearers are Tracey Vannatter.

At other times the family will receive friends at the home of his mother, 924 Medical Park Drive, Apt #604, Mountain City, TN.
