Billie Ruth Tester Billie Ruth Tester, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 9, 2022 at her home. She was born on March 29, 1935 to the late Emory and Pearl Warren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Truett Tester; sisters, Ruby Childers, Glenda Reeves, Evelyn Reeves, and Dallas Dickens; and brothers, Frank Warren and Paul Warren. Billie Ruth had a strong love for the Lord and loved to cook for others. She was a people person, loved to travel and loved the company of others. Billie Ruth was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Shouns United Methodist Church where she served as choir director. She adored her church family. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Donna Kerley and husband Tom; son, Eugene Tester and wife Ann; grandchildren, Warren Kerley(Bailey) and William Kerley(Callie); great grandchild, Grant Kerley; several nieces, nephews, and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Shouns United Fellowship(formerly Shouns United Methodist). The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastors William Kerley and Steven Spencer to officiate. Graveside service and burial will follow the funeral in the Shouns United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Warren Kerley, William Kerley, Tom Kerley, Todd Reeves, Hank Reeves, Eric Ward and Bill Adams. Honorary pallbearers are the Levi Retirees. At other times the family will receive friends at the home, 171 Oak Street, Mountain City, TN, 37683. Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.
