Beulah Robinson

Beulah Blanche Rupard Robinson, age 99, passed away peacefully at her home in Mountain City on July 6, 2026.

Born on October 8, 1926, in Laurel Bloomery, Beulah Blanche Rupard Robinson lived a life marked by faith, hard work, service, and deep love for her family. She was a woman of remarkable strength and devotion, whose hands were rarely still and whose heart was always open to those she loved.

Beulah was a dedicated worker throughout her life. As a teenager, she worked at the Damascus Hosiery Mill in Damascus,VA for 18 years. She later worked for 10 years at Greensboro Manufacturing, later known as Levi Strauss & Co., in Mountain City, and also worked for 10 years at Mountain City Motor Parts. In addition to her work outside the home, Beulah was devoted to the work of caring for her family through farming, gardening, and preserving food, always “putting it up for winter.” She was a woman who knew the value of hard work and took pride in providing for those she loved.

Beulah loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Valley View Methodist Church. She was diligent in her Christian service and was a devoted member of the Valley View United Methodist Women for more than 25 years. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she lived it daily through service, generosity, and love for others.

Beulah was gifted in many ways and could sew nearly anything she set her mind to—making clothes, curtains, and countless other items with skill and care. She loved her family and friends deeply and was always willing to share her wisdom, knowledge, and talents with anyone willing to work alongside her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, kindness, and a life well lived.

She is survived by her daughter, Hilda Joan Robinson; her son-in-law, Carl Wiggins; her granddaughter, Sirrena Wiggins Aldridge and husband, Wesley Aldridge; her great-granddaughter, Joyce Anne Aldridge; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Beulah will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her hardworking spirit, her generous heart, and the love she poured into her family, her church, and her home. Her memory will continue to live on in the lives she touched and in the lessons she passed down through the generations.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. The graveside service and burial will follow the funeral at Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley Aldridge, Jim Wills, Dave Wilson, Jim Payne, Jon Rupard, and Jeff Rupard. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Wiggins, Bill Gentry, Kevin Hayworth, Jake Lewis and Sam Wilson.
