Beatrice T. "Bea" Reece

Beatrice T. “Bea” Reece, age 89, of Bulldog Rd, Trade, TN, passed away on Monday morning, May 1, 2023 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born on February 19, 1934 to the late Conley Thomas and Queen May Thomas.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Reece; son, Darrell Reece (9-24-2018); sisters, Arlene Bumgardner, Pauline Gooch, and brother, Grady Davis (Janice).

She was a member of First Christian Church of Boone. Bea retired from the sewing factory and a local funeral home.

Those left to cherish her memories include her grandson, Bobby Darrell Reece (Rebecca); great-grandchildren, Hailie Dawn Reece and Ethan Hunter Reece; daughter-in-law, Judy Reece; sister, Wanda Wilson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Mountain City Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Tony Potter and Mike White officiating. Bea will be laid to rest at Reece Memorial Cemetery (Liberty Church Rd. Mountain City, TN) with Fred and Darrell. Pallbearers will be Bobby Nelson, Joe Reece, Roger Gentry, Tracy Atwood, Ethan Arnold, Brian Vaught and Mike White. Honorary pallbearers are Robin Cress, Dennis Henson, J.R. Reece, Dick Grayson, Tom Reece, Ben Masters, Jeff Wagner, Gary Reece, Eloise Jenkins, Dr. Suzanne Shine and the staff of Mountain City Care Center.

The family will receive friends at the home 2587 Bulldog Rd, or the home of her sister, Wanda Wilson, 2570 Bulldog Rd. Trade, TN 37691.
