Barbara Sue Proffitt Barbara Sue Proffitt, age 80 , passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center . She was born on June 9, 1941 in Chattaroy, West Virginia to the late Wade W. Snyder and Lucy E. Cowan Snyder. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Joseph (Jim) Proffitt and her brother-in-law David Dugger. Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed yard sales, family get togethers and trips to the beach. She was a very good cook. Barbara was a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Todd Proffitt and wife Elizabeth; sisters, Charlotte Dugger of Butler and Lucille Stewart and husband Larry of Florida; brother, Larry Snyder and wife Elaine of Florida; granddaughter, Nicole Proffitt; great granddaughter, Sadie McClain Faw; Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be private held by the family. In lieu of flowers , donation in Barbara's memory can be made to the Turners Creek Baptist Church Youth Fund, 316 Courtney-Huntsville Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
