Arvis Billy Anderson

  Arvis Billy Anderson, age 78, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Mountain City Care Center.  He was born on July 16, 1940, in Johnson County, TN to the late Charlie Anderson and Altie Moody Anderson. In addition to his parents, Arvis was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Anderson and Michael Anderson, sisters, Louise Anderson, Inez Shull, Clara Lunceford, Kathleen Arnold and Edith Potter, brothers, Norman Anderson, John Anderson, Raymond Anderson and Jim Anderson.   Arvis worked over 19 years at the Levi Strauss plant. He was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. Arvis was a member of the Doe Valley Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed gardening when he was able.   Arvis is survived by two daughters, Judy Vines of Elizabethton, TN and Elaine Rice of Hickory, NC; step- daughters, Pam Rolens and Karen Rolens, step-sons, Timothy Rolens and Wade Rolens, grandchildren, Chelsey Frances, Sharon Wright, Jermny Anderson, Stephanie Norris, Sarah Masucci, Audrey Anderson, Kayla Nelson, Christina Marshall, Mary Gouge, Anthony Masucci, Rebecca Masucci, Jacob Rolens, Kayla Rolens and Kelsie Rolens, thirteen  great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, Companion, Tammy Auton and her daughter Serra, Ex-wife and mother of his step-children, Janie Watson, several nieces, nephews and cousins.   The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Carrol Flannery to officiate. Music will be provided by Joel Crisp. The Graveside Service and burial will follow from the Sugar Grove Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Lunceford, Ray Lunceford, David Lunceford, Adam Lunceford, Jonathon Lunceford and Michael Fritts. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Doe Valley Fire Department. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of his nephew, Jeffery Lunceford, 1629 Spear branch Rd., Mountain City, TN 37683.
