Coy Burl Guy Coy Burl Guy, age 65 of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 28, 2010. Burl was born on June 11, 1944 to the late Sam and Ella Icenhour Guy. In addition to his parents, Burl was preceded in death by two sisters: Rebecca Hackett and Elizabeth South. Burl loved his family, especially his granddaughters. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going to flea markets. Burl had worked 32 years at Bernhardt Plant #7 in Lenoir, North Carolina and was currently employed at Save A Lot Grocery of Mountain City, Tennessee. He was a member of Pleasant View Christian Church. Burl is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Ann Dickens Guy; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Bobby D. Taylor; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Bonnie Guy of Jonesborough, Tennessee and Jeff and Tammy Guy of Mountain City, Tennessee; two granddaughters: Ashley Nicole Guy of Mountain City, Tennessee and Grace Emily Guy of Jonesborough, Tennessee; three step grandchildren: Tara Gentry, Brittany Hughes and Skyler Gentry; two sisters: Donna Blevins of Westchester, Pennsylvania and Barbara Rodriguez of Mountain City, Tennessee; three brothers: Conley Guy and wife Mary of Lenoir, North Carolina; Earl Guy of Westchester, Pennsylvania and Sam Edward Guy and wife Corina of Mississippi; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lou and Lewis McElyea, Wendell Shot' and Mary Ann Dickens, Junior South, June Stanley and Ira and Louise Dickens; special nephew, Craig McElyea; many more nieces, nephews and special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 from the Pleasant View Christian Church. The Funeral Service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Bowman and Mr. Shannon Courtner to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Bill and Pat Taylor. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 from the Dickens Family Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Craig McElyea, Bobby D. Taylor, Ronnie Dickens, Kenneth Dickens, Gary Stout and Johnny Dickens. Honorary Pallbearers: Kermit Lewis, Paul Goober' Johnson, Bill Taylor, Wendell Shot' Dickens, Dr. Don Tarr, Ira Dickens, Mitchell Lewis, Monroe Johnson, Chad Dickens, David Dickens and Jim McKinnis.. Family and Friends are asked to assemble at 10:15 a.m. at the church on Friday morning to go in procession to the cemetery.
