Mrs. Annie Bell Grimes

Mrs. Annie Bell Grimes, age 101, of Church Street, Boone, died Saturday evening at the Watauga Medical Center. Mrs. Grimes is survived by one sister, Mary Wellington of Bristol, TN; her granddaughter, Darlene Turner of Boone; and several step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, seven brothers, Bill, James, Floyd, Fred, Bruce, Fred and Walter Landers and three sisters, Ella Mae and Geneva Landers and Katherine Bowman. She is also survived by her special friend, Wanda Brown. Funeral services for Annie Bell Grimes will be conducted Saturday afternoon, April 30, at 1 o'clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ernie Widby and Rev. Chris Eidse (IDES). The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12 until 1 o'clock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes. Burial will follow in the Holy Hill Cemetery in Mountain City.
