Jerry Carpenter

Jerry Carpenter, age 65, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away at home in the care of his family on Thursday, December 6, 2012. He was born on March 27, 1947 to the late Edwin Leon Carpenter, Jr. and Nedra Alison Brown Carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Janey Carpenter of the home; one son, Buc Carpenter; sister, Cheryl Carpenter Swanson and husband Don; one nephew, Jeff Swanson; two cousins, Judd Reeve and Judy Wills; his dog and special friend, Ali; Jerry's Church family and his brothers and sisters at Hebron Colony Ministries. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy Gardner Brown and Bess Arnold Brown; paternal grandparents, Edwin Leon Carpenter, Sr., and Norma Adeline Elizabeth Crusis. A memorial service celebrating Jerry's life will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Hammons Chapel Christian Church with Minister Joshua Giddings officiating and a eulogy provided by Walter Burl Simcox. Special music will be provided by Walter Simcox and Grace Davis Inurnment will follow from the Dunn Memorial Park.
