Nancy Brown Barrett, 69, of Mooresville, died May 1, 2013 at Duke University Medical Center. She was born on March 13, 1944 in Burke County to the late Clyde and Catherine Brown. Survivors include her husband Bill; daughter, Wendy Ketchum (James) of Charleston, SC; sons, Craig Barrett (Joy) of Huntersville and Tway Barrett (Maggie) of Mooresville; sister Cathy Slick (Glenn) of Marion, NC and 5 grandchildren, Will, Lily, Jack, Noah and Claire. Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 221 Ervin Rd. Mooresville, NC 28117. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, May 3 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr., Huntersville, NC 28078. A funeral service will be held at 2PM Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church with burial following at Glenwood Cemetery. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service in the church.
