Kenneth Towry

Kenneth R. Towry, age 67, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at this residence. He was born on October 12, 1945. Kenneth was a Heavy Equipment Operator and enjoyed his work. He loved to be outdoors and also enjoyed going fishing. Kenneth was a gifted banjo and guitar player and loved to play Blue Grass Music. His pride and joy was his granddaughter, Demi. He loved spending time with her and going to watch her play sports. Kenneth attended Victory Chapel Cowboy Church. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Towry; daughters; Sandra Towry of Elizabethton, TN and Billie Blevins and husband Jamie of Mountain City, TN; four sisters; two brothers; granddaughter, Demi Blevins; honorary brother, Bill Icenhour; special friends: Vickie and Earl Price; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastors Carroll Hayworth and Sammy Icenhour to officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Johnson Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Greg Wilcox, Timothy Price, Jamie Gilley, Sammy Icenhour, Bob Stansbery and Bobby Hope. Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Blevins and all of Kenneth's special friends.
