Mary Stanley Walsh

Mary Lee Walsh, age 67, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Watauga Medical Center. She was born on March 15, 1947 to the late Willie and Octavia Royal Stanley. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by three brothers: Vance Stanley, Blaine Stanley and Bill Stanley. Mary loved to craft and especially loved to sew. She also enjoyed working in her flowers and reading. Mary had a few special four-legged friends and enjoyed taking care of them. She was a member of Hammons Chapel Christian Church. Mary is survived by her husband, Jesse Carl Walsh; daughter, Brenda Sue Walsh; son and daughter-in-law, Carl Ray Walsh and wife Lisa; sisters: Helen Barker, Marie Bryant and Betty Bowers; brother, Ralph Stanley; special friend, Cathy Souder; several nieces and nephews and many more special friends. Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastors Leonard Fletcher and Josh Giddings officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Dunn Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter Walsh, Jeremy Walsh, Adam Walsh, Lindsey Jennings Sr., Lindsey Jennings Jr. and Jeff Jennings. Honorary pallbearers are all of Mary's family and friends. Mary had a special love for animals, and the family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary's memory be made to the Johnson County Humane Society, PO Box 307, Mountain City, TN.
