Billy Joe Blackburn Billy Joe Blackburn, age 59, of Mountain City, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born February 23, 1955 in New London, PA to the late Roy and Georgia Wyatt Blackburn. Billy lived in Lancaster County, PA for most of his life, but had moved to Mountain City in 1990. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by brothers Larry Blackburn and Carl Blackburn. Billy was a dedicated father. He enjoyed collecting tractors and old cars, and especially enjoyed laughing and talking with his friends. Billy is survived by the mother of his children, Maria Blackburn, two daughters: Kelly Vaughn and husband Dallas and Carrie Hampton and Randy Elmore, a son, Eric Blackburn and wife Pam, a stepson, Zyan Dishman, sisters, Katherine Griffith, Barbara Jean Blackburn, Karen Luna and Betty Luna, brothers, Rick Blackburn, Jerry Blackburn, and Bobby Blackburn, grandchildren, Dakota Swiney, Ericka Blackburn, Brandon Blackburn, Kendra Vaughn, Ethan Blackburn, Warren Hampton, Conner Dugger, and Darien Elmore, great-grandchild Evan Wyatt Hutchison, and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2014 from the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Berry Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6 prior to the funeral service. The interment service and burial will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Blackburn, Bobby Blackburn, Rick Blackburn, Jerry Blackburn, Brandon Blackburn, Dakota Swiney, Michael Luna, and Nicholas Luna. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Blackburn, Warren Hampton, Randy Elmore, Dallas Vaughn, and Matthew Blackburn. Condolences may be sent to the family through our website, www.mountaincityfh.com.
