Fred Morris Anderson

Fred Morris Anderson Fred Morris Anderson 92, was born to Milton and Maggie Goins Anderson on January 22, 1922 in Mountain City, Tenn. He departed this life on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Mountain City Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Laura Edell Anderson, five brothers Bruce, Clarence, Raymond, Denver, Jimmy and Wade, four sisters Gladys Anderson, Eula Anderson Bradley, Mary Anderson Young, and Pauline Anderson Houston. Mr. Anderson was a World War ll Veteran. He lived the most of his adult life in Johnson City. He retired from East Tennessee State University following over 20 years of service. He lived his later years in Mountain City were he was an active member of the Johnson County Senior Center. Survivors include 11 nieces and 9 nephews. A host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. Special friends, Joe Rhea, John Smith, Blair Lambert, Billie Outlaw, and Terry Hodge. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday April 12th at New Zion Faith Center 1904 Jamestown Rd, Johnson City, TN 37604. Pastor Ernest Widby officiating. The family will receive friends from 12pm-1pm, prior to the services.
