Charlene Marie Greer

Charlene Marie Greer, age 55, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born on December 1, 1958 to Lillard Stevens and the late Herman Floyd Pace. In addition to her father, Charlene was preceded in death by a daughter, April Turner and a sister, Jeanie Clark. Charlene was an employee of John Deere Power Products. She loved her 'family' there and her job. She enjoyed working and liked to stay busy. Charlene volunteered for many organizations and groups, especially the Relay for Life. She enjoyed spending time outdoors but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she referred to as her 'babies'. In addition to her mother, Lillard Stevens, Charlene is survived by her daughters: Susan Robinson and Chasity Cole; son, Billy Smith; sisters: Phyllis Bozek and Susan Roberts; brother, Donald Pervis; her 'babies' (grandchildren): Cynthia Robinson, Sydney Robinson, Brittany Robinson, Destiny Turner, Mika Turner, Michael Turner, Trent Buck, Courtney Buck, William Smith III, Christian Smith, Savannah Smith and Timothy Chissan; great grandchild, Elizabeth; nephew, Jason Bozek; several cousins; her John Deere Family and many more special friends and neighbors. The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Wellmont Cancer Institute of Johnson City and Holston Valley Medical Center for all of their loving care and kindness. Memorial Services for Charlene will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the College Park Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Guy officiating. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Charlene's daughter, Susan Robinson, 306 East Cottage Avenue, Elizabethton, TN.
