Harold B. Wilson, age 74, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to join his parents and to be with the Lord on Friday, April 18, 2014, at his residence. He was born January 21, 1940 to the late Frank Benjamin Wilson and Dosha Elizabeth Cable Wilson. He was a self-employed logger and a farmer. Harold loved his horses and wagon. The pride of his life was his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His children refer to him as the "best daddy ever". He loved to make his family laugh and he was their rock during rough times. One of the greatest pleasures is life was taking his great grandson for a tractor ride. Harold was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Wilson, daughter Cindy Roberts and husband Scott, son Michael Harold Wilson and wife Mary Ann, sister Joyce Matheson, brother Gerald Wilson and wife Robin, granddaughter, Casey Harris and husband Jeremiah, great grandchildren, Bentley Harris and Finn Harris, step grandchildren, April Stout and husband Kevin, Montra May, Kristen Roberts, step great grandchildren, Vincent Stout, Quentin Stout, Evan Hensley, aunt, Hazel Farthing, uncle, Howard Cable and wife Patsy, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2014 from the chapel of Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Morefield officiating and with words by family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Lower Beaver Dam Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Wilson, Dean Kirby, Dan Graybeal, Chuck Walker, Adam Winters, Dale Wilson, Dan Osborne, Tim May and Len Farthing. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Garland, Danny Pardue, Donald Brewer, Sanford Cable, Stanley Wilson, Ricky Wilson, C.B. Reese, Earl Rhymer, members of 2nd District Volunteer Fire Department, and the Doctors and staff of Blue Ridge ENT.
