Robert Greer

Robert Dean Greer, age 65, of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on March 25, 1949 to the late Milton and Mona Gentry Greer. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Greer. Robert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Beulah Greer; sons and daughter-in-law: Andy and Mary Beth Greer and Bobby Greer; several nieces and nephews; his little dog, Lucky and many friends. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service following at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Bowers to officiate. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Stateline Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dean Gentry, Steve Carlson, Robbie Carlson, Ralph Morefield, Roger Morefield and Justin Walls. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Conners. Memorials in Robert's memory may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Robert's son, Andy Greer, 202 Douglas Drive, Damascus, VA.
