Bobby Osborne Sr.

Bobby Osborne Sr., age 74, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on April 2, 1940 to the late Cleveland and Nora Greene Osborne. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Osborne and several sisters and brothers. Bobby was a people person who never met a stranger. He had owned and operated several businesses, including convenient stores and gas stations. He loved the daily contact with his customers who he thought of as family. He was a wonderful husband, terrific Dad and an awesome Grandpa. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Bobby is survived by his wife of 29 years, Karen Osborne; daughters: Flora Bridgette Osborne, Lisa Ann Snyder, Sonya Diane Osborne, Nora Michelle Osborne; son, Bobby Osborne Jr.; sisters: Mary Barker and Carolyn Watson; brother, Stanley Buck' Osborne; his babies and grandchildren: Gracie Marie Laws, Brandon Wayne Johnson, Sarah Michelle Johnson, Maddison Lucille Johnson, Matthew Edward Johnson, Heather Kelley and Wesley Darnell; mother-in-law, Ella Ruth Greer-McComas; his partner in crime, Wayne Snyder; his pal, Red; his nurse, Amy Grindstaff; special pastors and friends: Eddie Porter and Jim Norman; several nieces and nephews and many, many special friends. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastors Eddie Porter and Jim Norman officiating. Special music will be provided by Larry and Brenda Barry. Graveside Service and Interment will follow from the Snyder Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Roberts, Wayne Snyder, Donald Snyder, Raymond Laws, David Vanover, and William Eddie Morefield. Honorary Pallbearers are Kelly Stewart; all of the Bobby's grandchildren; Duke Snyder and Anthony Farmer. Memorials in Bobby's memory may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
