Denise Barry

Denise Barry, age 59, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Johnson City Medical Center.  She was born on June 4, 1957 to the late Ralph Eugene Barry and Darlene Love Gentry Barry.  In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by a special cousin, Robert Gentry. Denise had a special love for animals, especially dogs.  She also enjoyed crocheting, cooking and music, particularly the Gaithers. Denise was a member of Shady Valley Presbyterian Church. Those left to cherish her memories include her sister, Deborah Lynn Leslie and good friend, Thomas Garland; special friends:  Carolyn Lewis, Bobbie Wilson, Larry Gentry; special niece, Lee Ann Brooks; and many other special cousins. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jack Stevens officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. prior to the service. A private burial will be held at a later date. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Deborah Leslie, 822 Winchester Road, Shady Valley, TN 37688.
