Jack Randal Main, age 78, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. He was born on November 8, 1938 to the late Matt Main and Hazel Main. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brothers: Charley, Hubert, Jake, Walter, Bob, Maynard Main; sisters: Blanch Mahala, Elenore Garland and Settie Garland; nieces: Betty and Melissa. Jack loved to joke with people and pull harmless pranks. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting for ginseng and playing horseshoes. Jack loved spending time with his family and friends especially his grandson, Dalton who he went fishing a lot with. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 49 years, Mary Main; children: Angela Main Brown and husband George and Chad Main; grandson, Dalton Evan Brown; his precious cats, Daisy and Tum; special friends: Odas Watson, Wayne Shephard and Gary Dunn and several nieces and nephews. It was Jack’s wish to be cremated and that no formal service is held. Family and friends will meet for lunch to celebrate Jack’s life at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Harmon Chapel Christian Church.
