Jackie Ward

      Jackie E. Ward, age 78, of Mountain City,( Crackers Neck Rd), went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born on September 13, 1939 to the late Wilson Jack Ward and Georgia Hawkins Ward. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife Nina Sue Ward in 2011, and a daughter, Angela Jacklyn Little.   Jackie loved company, visiting with friends and farming. He was a life long member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church   Those left to cherish his memories include his sons ; John Desi Ward and wife Angie, and Mark Allen Ward; Grandchildren, Sheena Johnson and husband Jeremy, Addison Ward, Ashley Litz, Amanda Litz Ledford and husband Thomas, Brianna Little , Sofia and Nickolas Ward; Great grandchildren, Meleah and Andrew Johnson; Cousins, Pat Conville, Collen Hawkins Greene, Jody Hawkins, and many more; Special friends, Jim and Samantha Norman and children, Randy and Glenda Fallin, Barbara Simcox, Tony and Tonya Townsend, Tony and Phyllis Griffith, Danny Grindstaff, Bill Golf, Bill and Jean Wilson, Michelle Hale and husband and many more special friends.   It was Jackie’s wish to be cremated and no formal service held.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 3349 Roan Creek Rd, Mountain City, TN 37683 or St. Judes, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105     The family will receive friends at the home of his son Desi Ward, 2256 Crackers Neck Rd, Mountain City, TN, 37683   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.
