Wayne Duncan

  Wayne Duncan, age 78, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018.  He was born on January 11, 1940 to the late Joseph and Mattie McQueen Duncan.  Wayne was a United States Army Veteran. Wayne was a gifted carpenter and enjoyed working with wood and building.  He was also a farmer and took great pride in caring for his farm and animals.  He had a special love for his cattle and his dogs.  Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 50 years, Frances Gentry Duncan; daughters:  Penny Gentry and husband Bud and Aleta Gentry and husband Gary; grandson, Austin Gentry; special nephew, Mark Gentry; special friends,:  Jim Spencer, JR Long and Erby Howard and many, many more. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel.  A memorial service will follow with Mr. Tom Reece officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Shady Valley Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Kenneth McQueen, 134 McQueen Road, Shady Valley, TN 37688.
