Hobert Jadey Dunn

      Hobert Jadey Dunn, age 81, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 in the Mountain City Care Center. He was born on December 9, 1936 in Johnson County, TN to the late Joseph Arthur ( Joe ) “Red”  Dunn and Martha Pope  Dunn.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Hobert Jadey Dunn, several brothers and one sister.   Hobert was a simple man to those who knew him and will be truly missed by all.   He is survived by his girlfriend, Janice Lassiter who was by his side through the good times and through his sickness, his children; Mack Dunn, Alicia Dunn, Susan Trivett, Robin Ellison, Charley Brown and Heather Maze, grandchildren; Eden Taylor Lucas Dunn, Preston Henderson Dunn, Travis Ellison, Tyler Trivett, Charli Byrd, Josh Brown, Austin Brown, Mackenzie Maze, Savannah Mains, Hunter- Bear, Katlyn Dowell, Weston Dowell, and Shannon Dowell; great-grandchildren; Jackson Nelson, Lily Henderson, Braylond Ellison, Carter Ellison and Gavin Byrd, mother of his children, Jean Linton, Special Friend; Bobby Snyder, several nieces, nephews and cousins.     The family will receive friends Monday May 21, 2018 at Mountain City Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Steven Spencer and Bill Walters to officiate. Graveside service and burial will follow from the Phillippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Hawkins, Travis Ellison, Tom Icenhour, Michael Dunn, Tommy Dunn and Jerry Dunn, Honorary pallbearers are J.R. Arnold, Morris Davis, Frank Tester and Raymond Forrester.   Friends may call at the home 469 Forrester Hollow Lane or at the home of a daughter 2444 Cold Springs Rd.
