Denton Miller

  Denton Miller, age 63, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday May 29, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on August 5, 1954 in Ashe County, NC to the late Garvie Miller and Belvia Stidhams Miller. In addition to his parents, Denton was preceded in death by his wife Garlynn L. Miller on April 11, 2018, sister, Judy Miller, brothers: Lendon Miller and Dean Miller.   Denton was a Carpenter by trade. He enjoyed being outdoors deer hunting and coon hunting when he was able.   Denton is survived by his sister, Luevon Osborne and husband R.D. of Lansing, NC, brothers, Tommy Miller and wife Ruby and Kenneth Miller all of Lansing, NC and Bruce Miller of Thomasville, NC and Buel Miller and wife Patsy of MT Pleasant, NC, several nieces and nephews.   The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with David Lyalls to officiate.     Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.
