Jerry Corum

                                                       Jerry Corum     Jerry Corum, age 56, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a battle with cancer. He was born on May 1, 1960, in Johnson County, TN to the late Lewis Corum and Thelma South Corum. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Deloris Corum and his brother, Larry Corum.   Jerry loved the outdoors especially camping and ginseng hunting.   He is survived by two sisters, Caroline Brown of Mountain City, and Judy Fritz of Washington State, one brother: Junior Corum of Laurel Bloomery, several nieces and nephews, one Aunt Maxine Wilson and many special friends.   The family would like to express their Thanks and Gratitude to Jerry’s neighbors and special friend Doyle Carlson, Mountain States Health Care, Mountain States Hospice, Johnson County Cancer Support Group and everyone that may have been involved with the care for Jerry.   To those who new Jerry he was just a simple man and no formal service will be held at this time however a small memorial service will be held at a later date.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com
